Professional hyperbaric chamber installation
What a correct install needs from your room, what happens on the day, and the commissioning checks — leak test, relief valve, gauge verification, oxygen purity — that have to pass before any chamber is handed over for use.
Site readiness
The room comes first.
Most install problems are room problems discovered too late. We review these items with you before scheduling, so the equipment does not arrive to a space that cannot take it.

Sharing one household circuit is the most common cause of nuisance breaker trips and overheated compressors. Circuit work is done by a licensed electrician; we specify and verify. |
| Compressor air & ambient | Intake sited in clean air — away from vehicle exhaust, dryer vents, cleaning chemicals and dust — with room temperature and humidity inside the equipment’s operating range. What the compressor breathes is what the occupant breathes. |
| Oxygen safety | Concentrator or oxygen source position, tubing routing away from traffic and heat, static and grounding, ventilation and clear egress. No petroleum products, aerosols or loose electronics in the enrichment zone. |

Sequencing
We agree the delivery date against the site's readiness date, confirm who receives the freight, and identify whether a lift gate, dock or pallet jack is needed.
Receiving & inspection
Crates are inspected for transit damage before uncrating, and contents are checked against the packing list so a missing component is found before assembly starts.
Debris & packaging
Crating, foam and packaging are broken down and removed or staged for your facility’s disposal, and the room is left ready for a session. Trash removal can be added to any install.
Which install do you need
Soft shell, hard shell, or both
A soft-shell mHBOT chamber and a hard-shell vessel are different jobs with different day lengths. These are the install appointments we actually book.

Install day
Sequence of work
Protect and stage
Floor and doorway protection, staging area set, tools and torque specifications laid out for the specific make and model.
Place and level
Rigging and placement into the marked footprint, frame or cradle levelled, clearances re-measured against the manufacturer's minimums.
Assemble
Bladder and frame or shell and door assembly, view ports, zipper or pinch-clamp closure, internal fittings and mattress installed to specification; fasteners torqued and recorded.
Connect
Air compressor, intake and inline filtration, hoses and quick-disconnects, oxygen concentrator and delivery — cannula, mask, hood or BIBS — on verified, correctly rated circuits.
Test
Controlled compression to rated ATA, documented pressure-decay hold test, relief valve function, gauge verification, oxygen purity measured on an analyzer, and decompression timing.
Hand over
Operator walkthrough covering start-up, ear equalisation, session, shutdown and emergency egress; documentation pack; and the maintenance interval for the equipment as installed.
Commissioning
Checks that must pass before handover
- Structural. Fasteners torqued to specification and recorded; frame level; clearances verified.
- Pressure integrity. Chamber reaches rated ATA and holds it through the manufacturer’s hold period with no unexplained decay.
- Relief and safety devices. Pressure-relief valve function and any interlocks confirmed.
- Instrumentation. Gauges verified and in agreement across compression and decompression.
- Air and oxygen path. Intake sited in clean air, filtration fitted correctly with the change interval documented, concentrator flow at rated LPM and purity confirmed on an analyzer.
- Electrical. Correct supply, no shared-circuit conflicts, cord routing safe and strain-relieved.
- Oxygen fire safety. Grounding and static control reviewed, prohibited items covered, ambient oxygen checked, egress path clear.
- Operator readiness. Named operators walked through start-up, equalisation, session, shutdown and emergency procedure.
- Documentation. Install record, test results and next-due maintenance interval issued in writing.
Torque values, hold times, clearances, filter intervals and electrical specifications differ by manufacturer and model. We work to the documentation for the chamber in front of us; the items above describe the categories of check, not a substitute for your equipment's manual.
