From request to technician on site

  1. Request received

    Your submission lands with HSP directly and is read in the order it arrives, around the chambers already on the schedule. Requests that arrive complete — make, model, serial, photos, site address — get triaged first, because they can be.

  2. Triage

    We classify the work — install, scheduled maintenance, repair, leak test, inspection, training or relocation — and flag anything that reads as a chamber out of service. Many faults get resolved on a remote video session before anyone travels.

  3. Scope & quote

    Written scope covering the work, the parts, the site requirements and any travel. Nothing is dispatched before you have it.

  4. Assignment

    The nearest qualified installer is assigned, briefed on your chamber make, model and pressure rating, and issued the checklist for the job.

  5. Scheduling

    The visit window is confirmed with your named site contact, along with access, delivery and any prep your site must complete first.

  6. Close-out

    Completed checklist, leak-test and purity results, parts record and next-due intervals returned to HSP and to you.

Leak paths, compressor faults and concentrator purity problems are often identified in a video session before anyone travels. Fastest route to an answer, anywhere in the country, and frequently the only visit you need.

HSP technicians on site

New installs, commissioning, pressure testing, complex repairs and operator training, performed by HSP’s own certified technicians. Travel is confirmed in the written scope before anything is dispatched.

Vetted local installers

Scheduled maintenance, seal and gasket changes and straightforward repairs, staffed through installers qualified specifically for hyperbaric work and delivering against the HSP checklist.

On scheduling and callbacks

There are far more chambers in service than there are technicians certified to work on them, and HSP is a small specialist outfit rather than a call center. Most weeks are already committed to chambers on the schedule, so we publish no callback window and state no response time we cannot keep — timing is confirmed in your written scope, not on a web page. What genuinely moves you forward is a complete text or email: a request that arrives with the make, model, serial, photos and site details can be quoted or diagnosed without a single call back and forth.

How can one company cover all fifty states?

HSP is a United States based hyperbaric specialist that scopes, specifies and documents every job centrally, then puts the right person on site — our own technicians where the work demands it, and installers vetted specifically for chamber work elsewhere. Scope, checklists and test documentation stay with HSP regardless of who is standing next to the chamber.

What is the difference between a soft-shell and a hard-shell chamber?

A soft-shell chamber uses a flexible urethane or TPU bladder closed by a zipper or pinch clamp and normally runs at 1.3 to 1.5 ATA, with oxygen supplied from a concentrator through a cannula or mask. A hard-shell chamber is a rigid steel or aluminium pressure vessel with acrylic view ports and a gasketed door, typically operating from 1.5 up to 3.0 ATA, and it can be monoplace or multiplace. They need different installs, different service intervals and different training.

My chamber will not hold pressure. What is usually wrong?

Most often it is the closure rather than the shell: a worn or poorly lubricated zipper, a pinch-clamp door that is not fully seated, a stretched or contaminated gasket, or an inner bladder folded against the frame. Hoses, quick-disconnects and a weeping pressure-relief valve are the next suspects. A pressure-decay test finds the path; guessing at parts does not.

How often does a chamber need professional maintenance?

It depends on the manufacturer's schedule and how hard the chamber works. Compressor intake and inline filters are driven by run hours, not the calendar, and a clinic running sessions all day will need attention far more often than a home unit used twice a week. Your interval is written on your service record at close-out.

Can you tell what my oxygen concentrator is actually delivering?

Yes, and it is worth knowing. Concentrator output drifts as sieve beds age or the intake is restricted. We measure purity with an oxygen analyzer and verify flow at the rated LPM, so you know what the occupant is really breathing instead of assuming.

Can you service a chamber someone else installed, or a brand you did not sell?

Yes. We service, inspect and repair every major chamber brand, soft-shell and hard-shell, regardless of who installed or sold it, and we will tell you plainly what we find — including anything that should be corrected from the original installation.

Do I need a special electrical circuit?

Usually yes. The chamber's air compressor and the oxygen concentrator each draw continuously through a session, and sharing one household circuit is a common cause of tripped breakers and hot compressors. We verify the requirement against your equipment's specification and coordinate a licensed electrician where dedicated circuits are needed.

Do you offer training and certification?

Yes. Home users get safety and operations training on their own chamber with a certificate on completion, delivered in person or over video. Clinics can take a team package, and we broker IHA and IBUM provider certification for practitioners and technicians.

Can you diagnose a problem without coming out?

Often, yes. A two-hour remote support session over video is enough to identify many leak paths, compressor faults, concentrator issues and operator errors — and if a site visit is still needed, we already know what to bring.

What do you need from me to quote?

Chamber make, model and serial number, the pressure rating, the site address and what needs doing. For installs, add room dimensions, the access route and the available electrical supply. Photographs of the room, the gas train and the equipment plate speed everything up.

How quickly will you get back to me?

We deliberately do not publish a response window. There are far more chambers in service than there are technicians certified to work on them, and most of our weeks are already committed to chambers on the schedule — we would rather commit to less and turn up than post a number we cannot hold in a busy month. Requests are worked in the order they arrive, and complete ones move first because they can be quoted or diagnosed without a round of phone tag. If 48 hours pass with no word from us, please send the same message again or call.

Is it better to call, text or email?

Text or email, almost always. Technicians spend the day inside chamber bays and on the road, where a phone is not always answerable but a text is — and serial numbers, photographs and site addresses survive in writing, which is what we need to open a job, order a part or price a scope. A single complete message beats three voicemails.
